Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus is, what his aims are, and what it means to follow him.

You're not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.
 
Then course is ran over six weeks and is  based on the gospel of Mark:
 
Week 1
Introduction to the course
Week 2
Who is Jesus?
Week 3
Why did he come?
Week 4
Jesus’ crucifixion
Week 5
Jesus’ gift of grace
Week 6
Jesus’ resurrection
 
Each session last about 1½ hours and the format is fairly relaxed. We start with a presentation followed by a time of discussion and questions, and ending with some light refreshments and a chance to chat.

WEC Toddler Group - What you need to know…

Who runs the group?
Since it began, in September 1997, the group has been run by members of Woodford Evangelical Church. The current team of volunteers are mums and grandparents. All of us know the Lord Jesus Christ in a personal and life changing way and that life-changing relationship brings us together.

Our aims
1. To provide a caring and friendly group which supports parents and carers from our local community.
2. To give the children an opportunity to interact with other children of a similar age in a fun environment.
3. To provide an opportunity of hearing the good news of Jesus.

Weekly programme
9:30am Free Play
10:45am Tidy Up Time
10:50am Children’s Refreshments
11:00am Carpet Time (The session begins with a Bible story, followed by a time of singing familiar action songs)
11:15am Home

Cost
£1 per adult paid on the door each week.

Waiting list
This is normally between 6 months to a year. Friends are allowed one free visit if they’re interested in joining the group. We recommend you put their names down as soon as possible.

Every two weeks we meet in smaller groups in several homes across the church to study the Bible and pray together in a friendly and comfortable environment. One group meets on a Tuesday and the other two are on Thursday, all from 8:00pm – 9:30pm.
